Marketing qualifications will engage learners who have an interest in understanding the dynamics of how businesses promote their products. These practical, ‘hands-on’ courses will help learners to understand why it is so important in today’s highly competitive world, for companies to market their products effectively to support them to meet their business objectives.

During their studies learners will understand how the changing needs of customers have an impact on how marketing strategy is formed and the courses provide entry to higher education or into employment in a marketing role.

This one year course gives learners an overview of how marketing works. Learners will be taught why markets are segmented, and the value of marketing, including the importance of branding. The Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Marketing qualification is for learners who work in, or want to work in, marketing, for example as a marketing assistant, market research assistant or events management assistant.

This one year course provides an overview of how marketing works and learners will discover how and why markets are segmented and how to access marketing opportunities. The course will allow learners to evaluate and develop marketing strategies. Learners will gain an understanding about organisation’s procedures for dealing with legal, regulatory and ethical requirements relating to sales or marketing, and the legal, regulatory and ethical limits of the role.
